⚡ Role: Senior Network Engineer
🌎 Location: North Carolina
💰 Salary: $ 140k+
⚡Role Overview: As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll lead the design, planning, implementation, and support of the network infrastructure. Your focus will be on various network layers, including transmission, switching, routing, and access networks (like PON and Active Ethernet). You’ll also manage key infrastructure such as Border Network Gateways, Firewalls, and Routers.
⚡Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an expert in network switching and routing.
- Troubleshoot network issues and work closely with service and equipment providers.
- Plan and design network upgrades and document supplier requirements.
- Support and configure network monitoring tools.
- Provide technical support and training to engineers and field staff.
- Stay updated on industry standards and developments.
⚡Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., JNCIP, CCNP, JNCIE, CCIE are a plus).
- Experience with technologies like Juniper, Mikrotik, Nokia.
- Proficiency in Perl/Python scripting is a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience as a network engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 technologies and network monitoring solutions.
- Experience with wide area networks, Carrier Grade Ethernet, and Access Technologies (xPON, Active Ethernet).
- Willingness to travel and be available outside normal hours as needed.
