About The Role
The Development Director will spearhead initiatives to nurture and grow connections with high-priority clients. This position calls for a proactive and strategic leader who excels in relationship management, possesses strong communication abilities, and demonstrates exceptional leadership. The individual will be instrumental in driving revenue expansion, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and collaborating closely with clients to help them achieve their solar objectives. A dedicated team of Development Analysts will provide support in executing client-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives at large commercial and industrial companies. Offer tailored solar solutions and lead negotiations, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Develop solar strategies for key clients and expand into new markets. Collaborate with internal teams to align client strategies with company goals.
- Create proposals and provide top-notch support throughout the sales process, addressing client needs promptly.
- Stay informed on policy changes, industry trends, and competitor activities by working with internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, project development, or management consulting
- Knowledgeable about sustainability, solar energy, and ESG-related topics and trends
- Proficient in the MS Office suite
- Willing to travel 10-20% of the time, including to the main office and client locations, with flexibility on home location
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of rooftop commercial PV construction, behind-the-meter and utility interconnections, Power Purchase Agreements, and EPC Contracts
- Technical knowledge of the commercial and industrial solar development process, including utility interconnection, permitting, and construction
