Job Description: Sales Director
Location: Remote (US-based)
Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 base salary + OTE commission + equity in the company

Position Overview:
The company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking sales leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is excited about building out a sales function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Sales Director will work closely with him to shape and execute the sales strategy. This role requires a “hunter & retention hybrid” who can both drive new business and foster lasting relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and Lead the Sales Team: Develop, recruit, and manage a high-performing sales team to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the CEO to define and implement sales strategies, identify key market opportunities, and ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and optimize sales processes, leveraging best practices to improve efficiency, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
- Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, overseeing lead generation, qualification, and closing processes.
- Customer Acquisition and Retention: Act as both a hunter, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and a retention specialist, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to drive renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates and insights to the CEO and other stakeholders.
- Equity Participation: Participate in the company’s growth journey with an opportunity for equity.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a similar senior sales leadership role, preferably within the online learning, SaaS, or tech industry.
- Strong track record of building, developing, and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Experience in both new business development and customer retention strategies; a true “hunter & retention hybrid.”
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to be hands-on and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to improve sales processes, enhance team performance, and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Familiarity with data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields is a plus but not required.
