Primary Responsibilities:
Effective Prospecting
- Analyse and research market trends and target companies to rapidly create a multi-million-dollar pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
- Leverage personal networks to generate high levels of weekly call activity within a targeted portfolio of companies.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition across a suite of solutions to diverse functional executives within the prospect base.
Generate New Revenue
- Partner with prospects and clients to understand their business needs and objectives, providing tailored solutions to address organic revenue growth challenges.
- Demonstrate expertise in differentiating solutions and selling value, effectively managing team-based sales efforts as needed.
Key Account Management
- Conduct periodic assessments of customer deployments of solutions to ensure alignment with customer objectives and optimal utilization of available resources.
Customer Lead Development
- Coordinate, track, and report on marketing activities within the assigned region/territory to influence the sales pipeline.
Sales Cycle Management
- Lead current opportunities to successful closure while developing sales capabilities for future growth opportunities.
Facilitate Engaging Conversations
- Quickly grasp and effectively explain methodologies during all sales interactions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience in selling enterprise products and services through a value-based selling methodology:
- Experience: 8–10+ years of proven success in selling complex solutions and/or business development to enterprise customers at a premium level.
- Value-Based Selling: Demonstrated ability to sell a vision and outcomes—such as services and ideas—rather than just products and features. Experience in selling high-end consulting, sales effectiveness services, or other professional services is desirable.
- Business Acumen: Strong capability to engage across diverse functional areas (e.g., C-suite, sales, marketing, operations, HR, learning and development) and work effectively with sales executives and senior leadership.
- Skills: Exceptional sales, strategic planning, facilitation, and execution capabilities.
- Pipeline Management: Motivation and discipline to build, manage, and track a robust sales pipeline with documented progress.
- Communication: Superior listening, written, and verbal communication skills necessary for presenting insights, analyses, and recommendations to various audiences, including executive management.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to design solutions and ensure customer success.
- Ethics: High ethical standards with a reputation for integrity and professionalism.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
