⚡ Job Title: Field Commissioning Engineer

⚡ Position Summary:
Provide engineering, commissioning, and start-up support for distributed generation projects, including solar, energy storage, controls, and reciprocating engines. The role involves significant travel, often up to two weeks at a time, to manage assets and conduct factory and site testing.
⚡ Key Responsibilities:
- Factory Testing:
- Lead equipment testing with control engineers, including setup and software download.
- Conduct tests on units, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications.
- Perform sound, emissions, and communications tests, ensuring sensors are functional and calibrated.
- Inspect equipment installation by contractors.
- Site Testing:
- Provide customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Perform service, start-up, commissioning, and repair of customer equipment.
- Conduct testing, calibration, and component replacement services.
- Develop solutions for complex system issues and consult with engineering teams as needed.
- Maintain customer relationships concerning equipment operation and repair.
⚡ Required Qualifications:
- Two-year degree or technical certification in an electrical-related program or 5+ years of field electrical technician experience.
- Knowledge of control circuits, PLCs, gas engine controls, switchgear, solar inverters, and related equipment.
- Understanding of EGSA certification standards and basic relay, breaker, and generator testing.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
