⚡ Position Summary:
The company is seeking a Systems Engineer to drive the development and integration of high-power electric vehicle charging technology and whole-home energy management solutions. This role involves collaborating across Hardware, Test, Firmware, and Cloud teams while interfacing with OEM customers to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
⚡ Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine system architecture and integration for high-power EV chargers and energy management solutions.
- Gather and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with customer and industry specifications.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to implement and validate system requirements.
- Report on implementation and validation status for all hardware and firmware requirements.
- Conduct hands-on bench testing using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
- Develop system validation tests for prototypes and troubleshoot issues as the system expert.
- Utilize version control and CI tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins) for tracking and documentation.
- Employ scripting tools (Python) to automate testing and enhance verification processes.
⚡ Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with expertise in high-power and safety-critical applications.
- Strong understanding of high-power electronics and ability to interpret schematics.
- Experience working with UL 1998 or similar safety-critical product certifications.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and validating system performance.
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git, Bitbucket) and CI tools (Jenkins).
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
⚡ Preferred Skills:
- Experience with embedded systems OS/RTOS (FreeRTOS, Quantum Leap QM) and microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32, MSP430).
- Scripting experience in Python (or similar) to automate testing processes.
